urbanphilosopher: This serves as a harsh reminder of the lack of progress in our society.  It almost seems as if we’re regressing.  Why must someone be the victim of a hate crime because they are attracted to the same sex?  Why is it that people feel the need to impose their ignorance and hate on innocent people?  I am not writing this to try to change anyone’s opinions regarding the gay community.  That is your business and can only be changed by your own contemplation, but I think the gay community has been the victim of enough discrimination, do we really need to be reminded of how marginalized we are by getting beat to a pulp?  so what I’m trying to say is…. STOP THE FUCKING HATE CRIMES.
